So yea it has been almost 2 years since my last post. I sense a theme here. I finally went on my first real hike for 2019 and came across this little guy and thought I would share.
Not a long one today. Hiked for the solitude and prayer time more so than the exercise. Captures the sounds on video today though.
From solitude and silence are born tender contrition, and meekness; the activity of this latter in the human heart may be compared to that quiet water of Siloe, which flows without noise or sound, as the Prophet Isaiah speaks of it: ‘the waters of Siloe that go softly’ .

Almost 2 Miles today in under 40 minutes. Was trying to make to this spot called the Cascades to see what it was. Thought I could make it but no go. Too far away for me to hit on my lunch break…at least until I get in better shape.
